File Transfer Protocol
To take advantage of the new DOMICO FTP Report Batch feature you must first
establish your own FTP server – but this does not require costly server hardware
or the billable hours of an IT consultant when you can make use of freely
available Web resources.
There are many FTP server providers to choose from. We have found DriveHQ to
be reliable and easy to use:
Create your own account under the Online Storage menu. (The additional
functions in the DriveHQ FTP server/client menu are not necessary for DOMICO
FTP.)
Folders and files can be created, managed and accessed by logging into your
DriveHQ account through a web browser. You can create a different folder
named for each facility. The folder name should be entered in the FTP Report
Directory field in the DOMICO FTP Configuration menu, as shown above.
Report files will be named according to the following format:
SiteID_Date_ReportName_BatchName_BatchNumber.FileExtension
You can also access your DriveHQ files using plain old Windows Explorer by
entering your account information in the address line using the following format:
ftp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@ftp.drivehq.com/
FTP Configuration menu is found in the DOMICO Software Interfaces menu:
Tools >> Interfaces >> Add Interface >> File Transfer Protocol
User ID and password is the same used to login to the DriveHQ website. The FTP
report directory must already exist in your DriveHQ account. All characters are
case-sensitive.
To configure a Report Batch, select Send To: FTP.
More information can be found about the DOMICO FTP interface on page 74 of
the Owner's Manual.
