                          DOMICO 7 is here ! ! !

We are proud and excited to announce this major upgrade to our flagship product, which has been in development during the last year. It includes over 100 enhancements and technical fixes. All DOMICO warranty customers receive this upgrade at no charge. Our development team has worked hard to make this release one of the biggest and most exciting releases ever.  Here are some of the new features and enhancements:

Auction Module: The new DOMICO 7 Auction Module provides functions to make scheduling and managing auctions easy.  From our new Customer Information screen where you can enter a description of stored goods, to auctioning of the stored goods, to emailing the Public Notice to your newspaper - DOMICO's new Auction Module will simplify the auction process for you!

Emailing Receipt: This is a new option to email customer receipts at the time of posting payments or even when reprinting the last receipt.

Marketing Studies: The Move Ins Since option, when scheduling for a monthly Report Batch, will now show marketing information just for the previous month.

New Move in Report: Now includes: columns for email address and user ID.

Move out: Prompts for user input before processing move-out to prevent move-out of incorrect unit on multi-unit account.

These are just some of the great new enhancements and features in DOMICO 7. Our DOMICO owners and key management personnel should already have received email notification of the release of DOMICO 7 and how to obtain it. If you have any questions about DOMICO 7 or would like a demo of DOMICO 7, please contact Angelica Chan, Marketing Coordinator at angelica@domico.com.

We also have an article up on the website about Auction Processing. The article will take our DOMICO users through the process of our new Auction Module. Look for the article at www.domico.com under Technical Support, Documents.

Pin- Debit

DOMICO is proud to announce that our pin-debit feature in DOMICO 7 Software has been successfully tested. We know that our customers have been eagerly waiting for this capability.

Pin Debit allows our DOMICO users to offer their customers another payment choice when they are paying for their rent or merchandise. Pin debit charges are typically less expensive for the merchant than credit card processing.

If our DOMICO customers would like to enable the pin-debit feature in DOMICO 7 Software, please contact Angelica Chan, Marketing Coordinator, at (800) 688-6181 or angelica@domico.com.

Easy to not save Credit Card Numbers

Management can now decide to have the user/store manager NOT save credit card numbers at the payments tab…except, of course, if the customer is an "auto pay." We have added a global option (see screen sample below) where the choice of automatically not saving masked credit card information at the payment tab is made.

This option will be checked by default for all of our current sites who upgrade their software to DOMICO 7. Our recommendation is to uncheck this global option. The set up screen identifies this set up option:

If this global option is checked:

    1) If a customer has not paid by credit card in the past, when the user

goes to make a credit card payment, at the Payments Credit Card

tab, an unchecked check box will appear "Do not Save CC info" (see

example just below.) Checking this box then does not save the card

info after processing. It remains checked from then on for this

customer's credit card payment tab. Leaving it unchecked at the tab

will cause the credit card info to be saved in masked (last 4 digits)

        format.

    2) If a customer previously paid by credit card, the cc information will

be saved/masked at the tab and the option is, of course, unchecked.

By checking the option at the tab and then clicking <SAVE> for the

Payments window, the card info is deleted.

    3) The same thing works for Payment Plan customers after the

        Payment Plan option is unchecked.

If this global option is not checked (the recommended setting:)

    1) The "do not save option" does not appear at the credit card tab for

new move ins or first time credit card payers, and the card is not

        saved.

    2) If the Payment Plan is chosen, the card info is saved. If unselected in

the future the card info is no longer saved.

If this option was previously checked (as for all upgrades) and is then unchecked (as we recommend) all previously saved card info remains saved until the user manually selects the "do not save" at the credit card tab.

Add Move-in to Vacated Units

There is now the option to use the Add Move-in button on tenants who are vacated.  This is useful if you want to restore a previous tenant's info without having to re-enter it all by doing a New Move-in again.  Simply view the vacated tenant in Customer Action by selecting the "Show Vacated Units Only" checkbox in the top right corner, and then click on the Add Move-in button.
