Easy to not save Credit Card
Numbers
Management can now decide to
have the user/store manager NOT save credit card numbers at the
payments tab…except, of course, if the customer is an "auto
pay." We have added a global option (see screen sample below)
where the choice of automatically not saving masked credit
card information at the payment tab is made.
This option will be checked by default for all of our
current sites who upgrade their software to DOMICO 7. Our
recommendation is to uncheck this global option. The set up screen
identifies this set up option:
If this global option is
checked:
1) If a
customer has not paid by credit card in the past, when the user
goes to make a credit card payment, at the Payments Credit
Card
tab, an unchecked check box will appear "Do not Save
CC info" (see
example just below.) Checking this box then does not
save the card
info after processing. It remains checked from then on for
this
customer's credit card payment tab. Leaving it unchecked at
the tab
will cause the credit card info to be saved in masked (last 4
digits)
format.
2) If a
customer previously paid by credit card, the cc information will
be saved/masked at the tab and the option is, of course,
unchecked.
By checking the option at the tab and then clicking
<SAVE>
for the
Payments window, the card info is deleted.
3) The same
thing works for Payment Plan customers after the
Payment Plan option is unchecked.
If this global option is not
checked (the recommended setting:)
1) The
"do not save option" does not appear at the credit card tab
for
new move ins or first time credit card payers, and the card is
not
saved.
2) If the
Payment Plan is chosen, the card info is saved. If unselected in
the future the card info is no longer saved.
If this option was previously
checked (as for all upgrades) and is then unchecked (as we recommend)
all previously saved card info remains saved until the user manually
selects the "do not save" at the credit card tab.

Add
Move-in to Vacated Units
There
is now the option to use the Add Move-in button on tenants who are
vacated. This is useful if you want to restore a previous
tenant's info without having to re-enter it all by doing a New Move-in
again. Simply view the vacated tenant in Customer Action by
selecting the "Show Vacated Units Only" checkbox in the top right
corner, and then click on the Add Move-in button.
