2009 is almost at an end and what a great year DOMICO has had. Before we end the year, we have some exciting news. We are currently in final testing of a new upgrade to DOMICO Software. The latest version has new features that we're sure everyone will love. Check out the article on our Noteworthy section.
On our last newsletter we announced that we were holding a contest based on surveys returned. We've selected a winner at random, so please scroll down to see who it is. You can also check out our latest tech tip.2009
has been a great year and we cannot wait to see what 2010 has in
store for us. Happy Holidays!!
MAJOR NEW RELEASE PLANNED FOR DOMICO
SOFTWARE
FIELD TESTING HAS BEGUN
Approximately every year DOMICO delivers new and improved
versions of its premiere software product. We are field-testing our next
version and expect it to be ready before the end of the Winter
Quarter.
The main attraction of this version will be the brand new
Auction Processing functionality. From a single screen, the user will be
able to see all units that are eligible for auction. An auction location
and date can be established and eligible units verified and then assigned
to that specific auction. The Newspaper Notice can be generated with
appropriate dates and even emailed. And, of course, the appropriate
notification to customers and alternates will take place. Thank you to
Ryan Rogers in particular for taking the time to provide excellent
feedback. With Dahn Corporation having facilities in dozens of states, his
knowledge was invaluable.
Alongside this auction “module,” we needed to augment our
Customer Information screen. Now you will find a place to input a
description of the goods stored. This, description will be picked up by
the aforementioned Newspaper Notice. We’ve also made a few other Customer
Information modifications, thanks to our friend and long time client
Richard Marmour, who is responsible for the recently passed Lien law
legislation in the state of Arizona. Hello and thank you
Richard!
Speaking of long-term clients, Bob Whear from Stor All has
been with us since the mid 80’s and thanks to Todd Whear and Shelli
Schilt, we have made some changes to our Marketing Studies. In particular,
the “since” option will be generated from a report batch showing what
happened in just the last month.
Our long time friends at Storage Pro, Mr. Stephen Mirabito
being the principle, assisted us in creating an automated input for the
Yardi accounting system that matches the latest requirements for this
accounting package. Our thanks go out to Yelena Muskevich for her
assistance as well.
There are many more improvements and additions, far too
many for a newsletter. DOMICO devotes a substantial percentage of annual
profits to ongoing product Research and Development. In all due humility,
we feel that we have the best software product on the market today and
plan for that to be the case for years to come. A good part of that
superiority goes to relationships with superior clients that have been in
place for multiple decades! Thanks to all of you!
Survey Contest Winner In our last newsletter, we held a contest for our customers to reply to surveys that were emailed to them after our Client Support Technicians helped fix their issues. Congratulations to Carol McKaskle from Best Little Warehouse in Glendale for winning our survey contest. She will receive a $25 America Express Gift Card. The survey is based on a rating scale from 1-3 (1 being poor and 3 being great). Here is what Carol’s survey said: “I think your whole team is just great!!! 3 is for everything.” Thank you to everyone who emailed back a survey. These feedbacks are very important to us. For those who make a support call but do not receive an emailed survey, please email us at support@domico.com and provide us with your name, support number, and email address. | ||
