Automatic Certified Mail
By Glenn Hunter, President/Owner

Glenn Hunter, President/OwnerWe had an overwhelmingly positive response to the mention of Automatic Certified Mail in the May e-newsletter. Consequently, I felt it appropriate to further highlight this new service and detail how it will benefit facility operators.

Simply put, DOMICO software can be configured so that your certified letters are sent automatically via the Internet at rates less than you currently pay. All that is required is for you to set up an account with US Certified Letters (UCSL). The letter information is automatically sent from DOMICO to USCL during Close Day. UCSL takes care of all letter printing and delivering. The service also includes Electronic Tracking and Confirmation Service of all Certified Mail.

Early testing has clearly demonstrated that both managers and owners love this new service. Not only does automating the otherwise time-consuming task of preparing certifieds make a manager's life easier, but it also reduces the legal liability of the owner.

Pen Parks, owner of Southgate Mini Storage in Napa, CA is a big advocate of Automatic Certified Mail. "Once I set up the account, DOMICO took care of the rest. It saves me a lot of time, and not only because I don't have to prepare the letters myself. I no longer have to dig through old files to find my delinquent tenants because Electronic Tracking gives me a list of the delinquents who have received Certifieds right there on my computer."

Rodney Vernon, Director of Business DevelopmentEmployee Spotlight | Rodney Vernon |
Although Rodney has been with DOMICO for nearly a year as our Director of Business Development, he was never given a proper introduction . . . until now!

Rodney comes to us with several years of managerial sales experience in various industries, from online media to IT and networking infrastructure. We were very fortunate to find someone with the sales, marketing, and technical expertise necessary to build on our expanding customer base.

Rodney holds a B.A. in International Business and Marketing & Management from Dominican University, where he was on the Dean's List and was the recipient of the Student-Athlete Of The Year award two years in a row.

Rodney and his wife Jennifer (pictured above) are expecting their first baby, a son, in August.

Speaking of which . . .
Maya Catherine Wright
Oh Baby, Oh Baby! |
Perhaps it's something in the water, or maybe it's just contagious. For whatever reason, we here at DOMICO have recently experienced a baby boom of unparalleled magnitude.

It all began last year, when software engineer Kimberly Wright gave birth to her first child, Maya Catherine Wright (left).
Kiran Rolfe Kasling
Since then, software analyst Rolfe Kasling has had his first-born, Kiran Rolfe Kasling (right) on April 28 of this year.

In addition, Rodney Vernon and wife Jennifer, and receptionist Judi Ottley and her husband are expecting their first-borns this year (August 17 and October 1, respectively).

We'd like to congratulate these new parents (and soon-to-be parents), and welcome their tiny tots to our now very extended DOMICO family!

Tech Tip of the Month
Linking Units | DOMICO software has the ability to link multiple units for a single customer under one account, allowing you to apply a payment to multiple units all at once. This can be done by selecting the appropriate tenant in Customer Action, and then using the Add Move-In button to add a unit to that customer's account. All linked units will appear when that tenant is later selected.
